changing out master brake cylinder in 1991 560SEL.

To change out the master brake cylinder, do I need to take a turkey baster and extract ALL of the brake fluid from the brake fluid reservoir PRIOR to removing the reservoir? Any special tricks I need to know to remove the master brake cylinder itself?
