Help identifying water pump on M117 (Going MAD)

So after 4 thermostats, I still have not managed to found the correct one from me engine. Can anyone tell me what water pump I got? It's not the correct one for the car, it does not fit any of the thermostats I have bought so far, because of the groove in there.

Looks like the type used on the 560SL. Try ordering a thermostat for an '86. Looking up the parts list on Pelican, they clearly show the gasket for that fitting in their parts library for that year and model.

The top location is not the thermostat location, and as a consequence does not have a register for a thermostat. The thermostat is located on the right side of the water pump.
