I finally got tired of sticking my fingers in the slots to roll the windows up and down. My only concern with this fix is if the metal were to touch the contacts and create a short if this fix were to fail on a button push. Added some electrical tape on the edges. Really only temporary until I can find a proper one.

The metal is a cut up motorcycle license plate. Tin snips worked easily.
