76 mercedes 280c speedometer

DOES anyone know where speed sensor is connected ? CONNECTED A DRILL TO SPEEDO CABLE GAUGE MOVES . REPLACED BOTH CABLES STILL DOESNT TURN THINKING THERES A SPEED SENSOR

If you have a cable, it's a mechanical drive. I think the first ones with the electronic speedo were the W126 in the 80s. Probably a failed or stripped drive gear in the transmission tailpiece.
