I've been on the forum for quite a while but until now I hung out over at Diesel Discussion, being a long-time 300d/300sd owner. However, I have been AWOL for a while.

I just purchased a w210: A 2002 4matic wagon.

First question... I don't like the stock alloy wheels.

Any issue using wheels off, say, a w220 or w140 on a 4matic?

when proper fitment and calibration is at issue, it would be better to use more
specific details such as the wheel model number being considered. though the
wheels from S220 or w140 may physically fit when attached to your car, they
may not perform properly. you should post the size of tire as well...or, once
the specific wheel has been identified, we can try to help with proper tire sizing
with an eye on compatibility with odo/speedo/cruise

the bolt holes are also larger on S class wheels so you would need special lugs that have a thicker shank and acorn/taper but have the regular threading for the W210 hubs.

Fitting different wheels is not that easy.

Most wheels have a wrong offset, so while they fit they are to much to the in of outside of the car.

My w210 has original Avantgarde wheels, they look a lot better than the other versions.

Zacharias, check the Owner's Manual for the specified wheel size and offset (ET). Any genuine MB wheel style that matches those dimensions will fit your 210 wagon. Be sure to measure the lug hole size on any replacement wheels you are considering to verify that your existing lug bolts will fit properly.

How about 16" 5-slot wheels from a W210 E420/E430? I think the sport option has 17" 5-spoke wheels.
