interchangeable dipsticks?
My recently acquired 2014 GLK 350 is missing its dipstick. I have a 2006 CLK 350 that has it's dipstick.
The p/n's are 272-010-00-72-64 for the CLK and 276-010-00-72-64 for the GLK. The only difference might be the leading 3 digits for the engine number. My question is: can I use the CLK's stick to check oil level in the GLK until the replacement arrives? TIA JSH |

If the parts were to interchange, the old number would show " replaced by XXXXX " , it if does not, they likely won't interchange. I'm betting the oil pans are different.
These cars might have oil level status accessible through the dash in service mode. ( Or some other button pressings and pokings . ) |

Thx 97 Sl 320...... good point about "replaced by"
I should have learned long ago, if it seems logical in MB parts, you're going down the wrong path... will (reluctantly) check with dealer...... Hameline |
