			would have to echo former responses, and add suggestions.  The only cars that I have heard of where the car itself is responsible for heating the head unit to any degree is a few Chevy products, caused by heater ducts running to close.  If heat is a worry, you could go with external amplifiers.  This should make any head unit last longer, due to lesser heat cycling.
