67 w110 200 gas. Brake booster

Hello new to this forum. Just bought said car. Car will stall out under braking especially when cold. Brake pedal hard. After running awhile, stops a little better but still pulls the engine down. Could a vacuum leak cause this? How to diagnose this?

I’m not sure what type of carbs you have, but if they are zenith, there’s a vacuum pod that is supposed to extend the stop point on the throttle to essentially give it a little gas if the vacuum pressure gets to low (= pressure too high/ too little vacuum). It could be that this is not functioning properly if you’ve got zenith carbs.
