1987 560 SL Connector Identity
Hi All,
I've inherited a mess. A 1987 560 SL that belonged to my mother in law and was neglected and left outside for several years at her "mechanic's" shop. When I got to it the console and seats were torn out in an apparent attempt to fix the air conditioner. I'm going to sell the car, and am putting the interior back together as best I can. There is a female connector that I can't find the mate to. It's labeled 9622/1 and is hanging In the vicinity of the climate control. I'll try to attach some photos. Does anyone know where/what the other end of this might be? As of now, none of the climate control works, inondash lights work, the speedo is stuck at the far end of the gauge. And that's just the beginning. The car does run and drive, but needs a lot of love. I'll be super grateful for any help I can get here. I've worked on a lot of cars as a hobby, but never a Mercedes. Thanks! |

I don't know these cars well enough, however, post the wire colors as it would help if someone has a wiring diagram.
Do some research on pricing the car ( Not one of the online blue book / NADA sites as they are not realistic for an older / needs help car. ) The 560's seem to command a higher price but poor condition can drop value of any car by 75%. There is a point at which where cost of labor can exceed just buying a low mile perfect car. |

Ah ha! Cigarette lighter. I'll bet that's it since I'm missing the whole ashtray assembly. I should have thought of that. Thanks!
