2003 E320 Fuel filter location

My wife's 2003 E320 fuel filter is where.

Her car is so low I can't see under the car without jacking it up.

Some information says it's underneath, some say it's in the tank with the pump.

Does anyone know before I order the fuel filter, and some filter have four points not just 2.

Thanks

its in the tank, take out the rear seat bottom ther is a half round spot near the front outer corners , push those two tabs and lift while pushing the release tab , now lift the seat bottom set it outside, take an 8 mm socket remove 6 bolts off the cover , disconnect 2 electrical connectors , make sure the level of fuel is low or if you unbolt the filter, which is under the left black cover fuel will come out making a mess, I think you will need to also take out the right side cover and disconnect the pump so the hoses can allow the filter hoses to be access and pulled out to exchange the old filter for new, your filter /sending unit has a float , so does right side, good luck

Don't know if it makes a difference but I checked the engie codes and there is a P0455 code.

Looking it up it says even with this code the engine would run normal without issue.

I was thinking to replace the fuel pump and or the fuel filter due to her E320 idles rough and seems to choke at stops and take offs.

Is there a first thing to break on a 2003 E320 EVAC leak?

Again in it really depends on what kind of e320 she has. They sold 2 very different E320s because that was a transition year. The fuel filter setup are completely different.

If it’s a US car, you can’t tell if it’s a sedan or wagon?

VIN begins with WDBJH for the W210 wagon/estate, WDBUF for the W211 sedan/saloon.

Sixto
98 E320s sedan and wagon
02 C320 wagon
