Battery light on dash 190d
My 1985 - 190d 2.2 battery display is lit - dim at idle then bright on acceleration then when im driving for a while the display flashes steady. Then later will return to solid. Any ideas?
Everything else is working fine headlights are not dim nor are the dash lights. Thanks Hank |

This would normally mean that you are not charging. My guess is that things will eventually start to dim.
Check the battery voltage before starting the car, and then while running. The voltage should be higher while running. Somewhere greater than 13v. This is a primitive test, but it will give an indication of whether you are charging the battery.
