i have a creaking noise from the drivers side front wheeel area but nothing is loose and i cannot work out what it is could any body help plz, also my economy meter sticks halfway and it has been tuned serviced etc but has made no difference so if anyone has any ideas on both probs plz let me know thanks.

What type of car? As far as the wheel noise I would start by checking the sway bar bushings. As far as you other problem, when did it start? After service? More info

Bushing are where I'd place my bet as well. I had a creaking that drove me nuts in the rear of my benz. I removed the spare tire, rear seats, jack, lug wrench, insulated the rear speakers, etc only to find out it was the rear sway bushings. Inexpensive fix too.
