Never tried one, but brass scrapers and putty knives are available. Looks like copper and brass are similar in hardness, with copper being a bit softer.

but copper pipe is usually lying around and takes under 5 minutes to make into a scraper.

^ Aren't most "copper" scouring pads actually copper-plated steel? (Which is why they rust on your sink when wet, lol.)
