1996 Mercedes C280 Sport Fenders vs C36 Fenders
Are the 1996 Mercedes C280 Sport fenders rolled in the same way that C236 fenders are rolled? Are the identical?

The part numbers for the front fenders are the same for all the W202 cars, i.e. the C220, C230, C280, C36 and C43. That doesn't necessarily mean they are all rolled. Considering the small production of the AMG cars they may have been rolled at the factory for the AMG cars. With the right tool it only takes a few minutes to roll the lip. The best way to verify if a non-AMG car fender is rolled is to look at it. In any case an good body shop )or speed shop) should be able to roll it for you.

Another possibility is to see if C36 type wheels were a dealer installed option for a non C36 W202. As an example, there is an AMG wheel instruction sheet for installing 18" wheels on a standard R129 SL . From what I recall, the R129 cars were rolled from the factory post 96 when wider wheels were installed at factory.
I have 15" x 7" AMG Sport wheels running 205 / 65 15 on my non sport 97 C280 without issue. This tire is 1 size wider that stock and the wheel is 1/2 " wider. |

They are identical other than being rolled. I have two fenders off of a parted C36 and one is rolled and one is not. No discernable difference between the two fenders otherwise
