Whom this may concern:
Hi, I am a 93 model 300E 3.2 and the head gasket leakage was recently discovered. I am wondering what causes the leakage, when I have extremely low mileage ? 32000 miles. Could it be the age ? or the aggressive driving behavior ? what exactly is a head gasket and what it does ? Can I just leave it ( the leakage )alone ? I heard this is a very common problem on the engine, and the factory would probably authorize the repair at no charge ? After the repair would my engine able to perfore as before ? I hope someone could provide some sort of help on this. Any tips or concerns will be greatly appreciated Thank you very much for your time. Peter regards |
