94 E320 passenger high beam intermittent
Our beater E320 has lately been lacking it's passenger/right high beam.
Some days it works, some not. The bulb failure light stays on when it's acting up, even before touching any of the light controls. The left one always works, but the blue high beam indicator does not light if the right one is acting up. I've also seen the bulb out indicator stay on even when it is working seemingly as normal. Can a faulting bulb monitor module do this? I've had to re-solder a few of the same vintage or older on different makes before to correct odd behavior but never quite like this. I can't seem to reproduce it otherwise, wiggle, jiggle, poke, tap, etc. Both headlamp bulbs are new and matching fwiw. I replaced the main light switch a few months ago with an aftermarket one but it seems to work fine otherwise and no amount of mucking about with it physically seems to have any effect, ditto the control stalk. I haven't pulled the cover and tapped on the bulb monitor module yet. The headlight bulb socket and wiring looked fine when I replaced the bulb the other day.
