Can someone tell me what this part is for? Mine is clicking pretty loud.

You might want to post in the Diesel Discussion section as you have a diesel.

That's the cruise control actuator. Clicking means that either it's ready to be fixed or that your cruise control amp isn't working.

The cruise control expert on this forum is JamesDean. The part is the cruise control actuator.

I suggest unplugging it and popping off the attached control rod until it is replaced or repaired.

Post Cruise Control Repair

DO send it and the amplifier inder the dashboard off to James Dean for repair ! .

It'll come back working so smoothly you'll wonder why other cars C.C. works so crudely .
