I can't tell you how many times I've resoldered the wiring in the driver's side trunk hinge area on a 211. That's the first place that we look when having this issue. almost 100% of the time, that's the problem. Not saying it's yours, but definitely worth a look. Easy access and easy to repair.

the trunk handle on my cdi sticks when i pull it back to open the trunk. if i forget to push it back into the normal, 'resting' position, then the key fob and the trunk button on the door don't work.
