My CDI was rear ended and the trunk was damaged. I got one from the junk yard and changed over the guts. Now the trunk can't be opened with fob, driver door release button or the trunk release flap ( basically manually open it ). This is what I observe.
1) trunk can be opened with key inserted and turned counter clockwise to unlock position. Activate the trunk release flap and it opens. It is pretty much a mechanical operation to release the latch. Key lock normally in neutral position. 2) If I press the emergency green button, I can hear the motorized latch release so the motorized latch is working. Nothing happen with the fob or the door release button. I think the trunk release flap activates a micro switch which in turn tells the computer to activate the motorized latch but nothing happens. Any ideas? Do I need to reset the computer, if there is a computer?
