Removing interior temp sensor w124

Hey guys, I installed a new radio in my 89 260e, it has hands free calling, and I wanted to put the microphone hidden but also in a usable spot.
On the dome light there is a little grill that I thought would be perfect, but upon inspection I found it has a sensor, doing some digging around I found that it is for the climate control.
Out of curiosity what would be the result if I removed this sensor?
