I just bought a fine example of a 1985 300sd and I am having great pleasure in restoring it. However, there are two vacuum lines which perplex me and the photos are attached.
1) the one runs parallel to the EGR valve but it has a plug in it. Its color is blue and black. Where does it go?
2 The second is attached (I believe incorrectly) the to the vacuum shutoff valve and goes to the transmission. But within equal distance from it, is a solenoid that has nothing attached to it. It would seem that the transmission vacuum line should go to the solenoid, but then what about the vacuum shut off valve?? Or are they both incorrect?
Any help on this would be appreciated.
