Can’t get my control arm in far enough

Hi all
I am in the middle of replacing my LCA on my 92 w124 and I can’t seem to get the control arm in right so the washer bolts line up as before. I have pounded on it with a rubber mallet but I don’t know if there is a trick of some sort I am missing. I know I have to get an alignment when I am done, can they put theses washers back in right or do I need to take care of this now. It’s a lemforder CA

Just get the LCA in in whatever orientation it will go. You can then turn the eccentric so that it lines up with your marks.
