M103 Pilot bearing depth single mass flywheel

Installing the pilot bearing in my w124 and I was gonna just get it flush with the crank but I tapped it one to many times and it kept going, I can feel around from inside the bearing and looks like there is a lip on the crank shaft that would stop the bearing if I kept going maybe another 5 mms. But I don’t want to sink the bearing in to deep and have the input shaft of the transmission not go in it.
Does anyone know what the depth of the bearing should be in relations to the crankshaft? Or am I suppose to sink the bearing in until it hits that lip?

Thanks

according to this pdf, yes. There should be a spacer ring in there
