So I bought this thing yesterday. The power locks did not work from the keyfob. So I went and bought new batteries for the key fob. It worked! However the truck would not open from the inside outside or with the remote.

So I take the emergency key out of the fob and open the truck with the hard key
The alarm lights on the exterior start flashing but no horn. Now the car is locked and will not respond to my key Fob. It worked just a minute ago but now I can’t get it to work at all and I’m locked out of the car. I tried to use the hard key to open the drivers door but it will not open it will not unlock. I have unhook the car battery in hopes to reset it self. Does anyone know what the hell is going on? Thank you

Short answer: No. Best bet is to turn to Google and hope someone posted about this problem on another site. Once you figure it out, it might be best to do what us 201 owners do and disable the factory alarm, if possible.

Are you certain the metal key is inserted all the way?

Maybe call the previous owner and see how they handled the same problem. I’m sure they know exactly what your going through

This may work, with the battery disconnected prior to actually touching the cable back, start pressing the unlock button, you may be able to trick it to open first .KEEP PUSHING THE FOB, BEFORE THE CAR IS CONNECTED, OR SIMULANIOUSELY PRESSING WHILE CONNECTING,
