190e manual transmission 1/2 gate lever not moving

Hey guys, ran in to another problem with my manual trans swap.

I noticed I didn’t feel any difference between the 1/2 gate and 3/4 gate while on the stands

I toss my phone under and ran though the gears and found that the lever for 1/2 isn’t moving at all.

Any ideas where I should look?

Also

Looking up trying to figure this out I found this site

https://**************.com/problems/transmission/manual-transmission-shift-linkage-binding

So I know I need to put a lock pin to adjust, but I can’t figure out what I’m suppose to do other then that
Can some one give me some insight?

Thanks

So just for try I removed the rods from the shifter, and could totally find the 1/2 gate. So I think my linkage was binding up.

Can someone let me know if I’m correct on this, when the hold pin is put in place under the shifter, this should be a neutral position.
With the transmission in also in neutral the rods should just line up perfectly, if not they need to be adjusted to be lined up.
And to tell if the trans is in neutral, I should be able to rotate the drive shaft either way with out any resistance

Sound about right?

The selector lever(s) alignment process you have outlined is correct. Before proceeding to adjustment of the rods, ensure that each of the three shift arms on the gearbox can be moved into three positions. You may have to rotate the driveshaft slightly to shift the levers thru their ranges. Each lever will have a gear-neutral-gear sequence as it is moved fore & aft.

Perfect thanks Frank!
I will check that the arms have three positions
