On my 126, the visor clips have a small plastic door on them and a little green man comes out upon opening. ok just kiding, Pop open the door and you should see a screw, loosen it and you should have more flexibility to work and may be part of getting the console out. Like I say, works for 126 not sure on your car, ..for what it's worth.
