W124 M111 missing pipework?
Hi forum members.
Iv recently got my mercedes back from the garage and after a bit of a nightmare, the garage splitting up and guys going there seperate ways i got it back. So i have a non running 1994 W124 e220 m111 engine, i myself have replaced the following as its done 195k miles. - full new engine harness. - spark plugs and leads. - fuel pump and filter. the car has 2 lines which at the moment arent connected but i know they have a purpose. The first is to the top of the throttle body there is nothing connected to this it at present, looks like what would of been a 10mm vaccum line of some sort with a 90' rubber fitting connecting it to the top of the throttle body. The second is from the purge valve (MOT) that again doesnt connect to anything but has a length of hose that runs to nothing at the moment. At the moment the car will turn over but not hold idle, and if it does fire runs iratically, i suspect that this is due to the above mentioned. iv tried to upload photos but unfortunately cant get them on here i hope with the description someone my be able to help, the car has bits missing and put together incorrectly all over so im slowly trying to piece it back together the best i can. Thanks Guys. Rob. throttle body. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmX4GbWH63Jvgolz41zLzT0l4Sh3-g?e=DGW4cM Purge valve. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmX4GbWH63Jvgol0nD_SecMOHdyFaA?e=YMmG4f |

So managed to get the pipework re-connected but still running rough at low idle? Removed and cleaned throttle body, refitted.
But still won't hold revs at idle constantly needs throttle to hold idle but then occasionally makes a sound like backfire in the inlet? . Any ideas or input is greatly appreciated, thanks |
