fuel gauge is great till it reaches R and the light comes on---- then it becomes eratic---whereever it rises or falls to (with cornering or hills etc) is where it stays----what is the solution and the best place to reach it from----thanks for all answers to my questions---syd

If the gauge works at all other times with the exception being at empty, I would speculate that the sender is faulty. On the 126 I believe that it is located behind the rear seat back rest. You will need a special socket to get it loose.

Benzmac if I understand the advice--- it is to take out the rear seat back and the sender will be revealed-----------------Thank you this is my third question --all have been answered and all advice has been good and all the solutions have worked--its a great site Syd
