Radiator Problem

I HAVE 86 560SL PIECE OF PLASTIC BROKE AWAY from upper radiator. is this part of radiator, and if so do i have to replace entire radiator thank you

this has been brought up a few times in the last couple of months,although i'm not sure if your model was one of the ocurrrances.what exactly is this piece's function.a pic would help alot

Sounds like the normal broken upper radiator hose neck. With the age of your car I would consider yourself lucky it lasted this long. Very common and the only real true forget about it fix is to replace the complete radiator. I would use only a OEM unit myself.

I agree, replace the radiator. You can get an OEM radiator from this site - BEHR is the brand. This job is a diyer type of job - pretty straight forward/easy.
