w124 M103 2.6L

Hello, can you help me identify what is this and where does it connect to? The one at the top is severed at the end and the one at the bottom is just connected by itself, which i am sure, is not correct. Please help

The top circle is just a temp switch and I dont see anything wrong with it.

The bottom one is a vacuum valve that either opens or closes as the engine heats up. I don't know why they capped it off. Later M103 dont have it. Maybe I will find a vacuum diagram for it I assume you have a US market 260E?

Thanks. Not sure if its US market... VIN# WDB1240261A286686

The temp switch is connected to where? The one circled is fine but the other end of the wire is cut so I have no idea where it should be connected to.

By looking at your vin you don't have a US car and your sensors are in a different place. Do you have a/c?

ok so the top circle sensor is a temp gauge sensor (Just one terminal on it right? It's called B13) and it should go to termainal 4 of the plug x26 (which is behind the fuse box so I would look for a loose wire before removing it)

The vacuum valve is the item 79 on the first page of this pdf:

Thanks for the info. From the diagram, I think mine will fall under National Version 1986 since it is the only one with 1 fuel pump.

Yes this unit have a/c hot and cold.
