Cool 1978 R107 450SL Evil Heater / climate control valve bypass, help needed please!

Hi there, have put this in the general tech section as I know there are other models of car that have a similar system, but my ACMII heater valve started leaking at the gasket between the plastic body and the lower casting, and I've spent literally hours googling for some good photos identifying which coolant lines are which in order to do the bypass. I've looked at all the threads here:

and this one has some photos but it's for a W123 and the pipes are semi--obscured:

It's still not clear to me which coolant pipes are which, and what I need to do. For example the pipe exiting the side of the auxiliary water pump (as opposed to the one connected vertically at the bottom) the outlet because that goes to the manual valve, and then into the heater core?

The attached photo is looking down on the valve casting from above, with the firewall at the top of the photo. If anyone could annotate the photo with which lines need to be joined together and which need to be plugged I would be grateful. I plan to buy the electronic controller upgrade but I need the car running asap. Failing any better photos or guidance if someone could direct me to a decent cooling flow schematic I'd be grateful.

Many thanks in advance!
