'97 E320 air filter element replacement DIY
Hi,
Can anyone supply instructions for replacing the air filter element on a 1997 E320 (604-094-05-04), not the air filter for the climate control. I've searched through previous posts, and the bosch site, but I can't seem to find diagrams or instructions for the 210. Thanks. Last edited by chipc66; 07-18-2002 at 01:15 PM. |

Okay, time to answer my own question since it's a no brainer. Nothing tricky here.
o The air filter element is located on the left side of the engine compartment, as you stand in front of the open hood, adjacent to the coolant resevoir. o No tools necessary, except a vacuum cleaner if you have a lot of debris in the bottom of the air box. o There are three clips on each side of the air box, flip them open. o There are two silver clips on the elbow leading out of the air box, unclip them. o Jiggle the top to break the seal and remove the top half of the air box. o Pull out the old air filter and vacuum out the box. o Insert new filter, reverse steps to close up.
