Hello. I have not yet moved onto the electrical system.

What is the best method to check spark?

Use a loose spark plug if you have one, or remove a plug from the engine. Connect the wire to the plug and use a jumper wire to connect the ground electrode to the battery negative terminal or any good engine ground.

Crank the engine. You should see a blue spark. If not, there is an ignition system fault. You should be able to see the blue spark in daylight, but it's best if the plug is shaded from the sun.
