Rotate the engine by hand a few times to double check the timing and oil bathe the cam, chain and rockers before installing the cam cover.
Did you install the exhaust manifolds yet?

No on the exhaust manifold. Ordered new bolts. Waiting for them to come in.

As far as rotating the engine, I do not have the valve cover on yet. Plan on doing that this week. No oil in yet either. Once I have cover on & oil in I will. Anything to look for?

I painted mine with aerosol VHT light gray primer and no color coat, they looked pretty good and similar to original for a few years.

Pour oil on the cam etc., before putting the cover just do it slowly so it doesn't run over/out the head. Rotate the engine by hand with the cover off looking and feeling for anything odd.
Rocker assemblies installed yet?

Rockers entire head rebuilt and already installed. Manifold is still connected to the pipes just pulled away. I would love to paint them, but afraid that spray would get on the car as well as over the engine. Plus it's very cold here in NJ, so I didn't even paint the valve cover nor air cleaner much to my chagrin.
