1984 190D instrument panel connections!
NEW GUY HERE! I'VE BEEN FIXING A FEW THINGS, REPLACED THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS WITH LEDS. Looking at the rear of the panel, there are two white plastic wedge shaped connections, at the upper left & upper left corners by the black bulb holders. The right side one has 2 black wires with brass pins, the left one has 3 black wires with 2 of the brass pins being longer than the other 1 going to this connection. Since they're all black wires, does it matter where they go in the white plastic connectors? Are they all ground wires which just need to be connected in any order to their respective connections?

Those are not ground wires, they are fiber optic cables. They illuminate the pictograms on the switches.
