I have a 1993 300SD with about 119K miles
on it. The right front shock has just started to leak. Do you have any recommendations on a brand/ model of a shock to use or should I just stick with the OEM? I plan to keep the car for a long time. Typically, I commute in the car about 3.5 hours a day on the highway. ------------------ Ralph Burnette 1993 300SD |

Stay with the O.E. Bilsteins you will not be dissappointed. You pay a little more but it's worth it, trust me.

If it is just a minor seep, I have seen many give no problems for quite a while. Does it handle strangely? If so do the work, if not "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"?

It is just a seep and the car handles fine.
I have a mechanic change the oil every 2,500 to 3,000 and we put the car up on a lift and do a quick inspection while the panels, etc. are off so it will be easy for me to keep an eye on it. Thanks again for the help. This is turning into a great site. |
