I have a 1978 Mercedes 300D. The power sunroof will close, but not all the way. The back right corner stays down. Despite my best efforts, I can't remove the sunroof headliner in order to adjust the sunroof. If you could explain to me the proper way to remove the "sunroof" headliner that would be much appreachiated.

To remove the headliner first you must fully open the roof, Pull down the headliner at the front. There are 4 or 6 clips that secure the liner to the roof panel.

Then slide it forward and out the top.
