Question w201 window-electric to manual then back again?

Hi all

Need a quick tip here.

My 190d ('84) has/had electric front windows. The passenger side is working fine, but someone converted the drivers side to manual, leaving the old motor in the door!

Apart from maybe a replacement motor, what else will I need?

Many thanks

the motor may not be the problem. my experience is the motors jam up because of lack of use. Driver side works best.

Thanks for the input t walgamuth

not sure my windows were originally electric at all...

only the front two have switches in the gear stick area, and the motors are/were attached to some sort of toothed wire that winds the manual spindle up and down.

VIN decoder doesn't mention windows but does mention electric passenger side wing mirror.

Thoughts?

Many thanks

You need a window regulator
