300E coolant tank
On my 300E the coolant tank is brand new. Where the cap screws down to the tank, you can turn the part where it screws down to about 1/8 of a turn. Is this normal? I didn't remember this problem with the old one.
On a coolant test if you pressurize the system to 15 psi, how much can leak out in one hour. Would 1 psi of leak account for the problem described above. Thanks, Austin

The cap may not be new.
I will check the gasket with the sensor. I know that the cap has a couple settings and Im not talking about that. I am talking about the tanks neck where the cap screws down to it. The neck moves 1/8 of a turn, I thought that that was wierd. I have a coolant pressure tester. I'll hook it up to the cap and see what it does. Thanks for the replies. Austin
