I'm trying to remove/replace the check valve located on the exhaust side of the engine on my '97 r129 SL320. I got one of the hex head screws off underneath the valve, but the other one is located right above a bracket of sorts that keeps me from getting a wrench onto it. I even purchased a thin 'blade' proprietary hex wrench and that won't fit either, and even if it did, I am not sure if there would be enough clearance upon backing the screw out to remove it. Anyone have experience with this issue? I did notice that this check valve part can be purchased solo, which is what I did, or it can be purchased already connected to the bracket/piping below it in an all-in-one deal. I'm wondering if that is because of the tight fit situation. Thanks! - Mike

i have done many pumpectomy and everyone was happy. it only works when in warm up and only US cars have it. The belt i use was off a escalade.
