You would be surprised at the number of ppl that ask me to disable auto start/stop using the Autel system. I've already done it on the GLK350 but it has a dip stick.

I helped a lady this week with her 2022 GLE350 and she asked me to disable it which I did. After the engine oil service I attempted to check the oil level and I'll be dog gone if it ain't tied into the ASS and will not read the level with it disabled. I'm going to assume now too that since it will not read the level it will not indicate low oil level. Does anyone know otherwise? Why the two are tied together is beyond me.

I liked the 22 GLE350 RWD especially all of the room around the engine/tranny with it being a turbo 4 and 725 tranny. I don't like that it does not have a dipstick and I don't care for the tires being different sizes front to rear. The rear tires look pretty pricey. I still like the 14 GLK350 much better.

Read that car companies are moving away from the ASS due to severe dislike by the public in general.

It may not be a problem in the future.

Yep, the EPA has already dropped the requirement that required cars to have it. it.
