Can somebody please help me figure out what damage i just caused to my
1987 420SEL?

So ive been dealing with a fuel leak on my 420sel for like a week now and last night i was testing a new pump i put on and to my surprise it was leaking still. I foolishly tried to adjust the fuel line while the car was still running. As i put my wrench up to the fuel line next to the pump i accidentally touched one of the terminals causing a spark. The engine cut off immediately and now when i try to turn the car on i dont hear the fuel pumps activating anymore. Feel free to call me an idiot

Second things first: Freedom to call one an idiot exists on other forums, notably Farcebook. Here, you will have to put a price on that function, making it then a marketable commodity.

When the pump hot terminal was grounded, the fuel pump relay was damaged.
