Upshift delay switchover valve..... I'd like to research the repair involved in order to make an informed decision before either I fix it or I take it in to a shop to have it fixed.

Any idea of cost of the part? Thanks

What that code really means IS, the transmission isn't holding the engine in 2nd gear long enough to properly warm-up the catalyst. IN cold climates this will cause catalyst damage over a long term!

Thanks. I guess Jacksonville, FL would not be considered a cold climate :) Last winter I think we had a couple nights where it dipped into the high 20's.

I reset the code last night and the CEL has not come back on as of driving into work this morning :)

Takes 2 complete warm-up drive cycles with fault to turn the check engine lamp on.

So the CEL may light up again after 2 cycles?

I'll give a progress report later tonight after my commute home.

No CEL on my way home this afternoon :)
