Will driving with fault code 26 on 94 E320 cause a problem?
Will driving with fault code 26 on 94 E320 cause a problem?
Upshift delay switchover valve..... I'd like to research the repair involved in order to make an informed decision before either I fix it or I take it in to a shop to have it fixed. Any idea of cost of the part? Thanks |

What that code really means IS, the transmission isn't holding the engine in 2nd gear long enough to properly warm-up the catalyst. IN cold climates this will cause catalyst damage over a long term!

Takes 2 complete warm-up drive cycles with fault to turn the check engine lamp on.

So the CEL may light up again after 2 cycles?
I'll give a progress report later tonight after my commute home. |
