We were informed shortly after delivery of our 1999 ML 320 that there were complaints regarding wind noise due to the weatherstripping used. This condition was subsequently remedied in later vehicles. The dealership said that the factory remedy for this situation in our vehicle would be installation of a hard rubber tube inside of the existing weatherstriping. P rior to this fix, we noticed no wind noise or squeeking in our vehicle. Since this remedy was installed, we have noticed squeeking in each door and and at the rear hatch. we would like to know if other ML owners have had similar squeeks, and what was done to successfully resolve this problem

This was much complained about. If yours does squeak, spray some liquid silicone on the rubber parts.

Had my 99 ML for almost 3 months. Haven't had a squeak or excessive wind noise that I can tell.
