I own an 87 300D and while changing my motor mounts I disconnected a few hoses that were connected to a particular pump. This pump is located next to the fuel pump(at least I know that much). Now the transmission is shifting early with a thump and my steering has some groans to it. Can someone tell me the problem and a resolution?

The lines that you disconnected control the vacuum to the trans modulator and that's why it is thumping. Somewhere there is still a line loose. I've seen many techs have comebacks because of this. P/S fluid low??
