The self levelling rear suspension, 560SEC, keeps the ride height constant when the rear suspension drops due to additional weight. Does it do the opposite? If the car is lifted, will the suspension pull the wheels up, working against the springs, to keep the ride heigh the same?

Yes it will try to keep the level at a constant spec.
