I just purchased my first Mercedes, a 1999 C230 Kompressor. None of the door hinges have any lubrication on them. The dealer says that is OK. Is that correct?

The first thing to remember is not to trust the salespeople, let your common sense prevail.

As with newer cars certain parts are modified & don't require maintence. This is one way to save $$$. Remember this is the new DAMILER/CHRYSLER CORP. NOW THE ENGINE CAN GO 10-15K MILES ON A OIL SERVICE!!
