C230 coupe side mirror

Does anyone know how to remove the side mirror and the mirror glass from the housing to change the blinker lights? The lens on that light was cracked so I bought the lens and bulbs from the dealer but decided to change it myself , any detailed instructions would be must appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The cover slides off after you release to tab, I'd pull the mirror and look behind the cover, you've got to tug pretty hard even after releasing the tab. Yous should have manually folding mirrors that are spring loaded, you can fold them and look behind the cover for the tab, just be careful not to gouge the paint.

is it a metal silver tab piece? how do you release it? just push it to the side and it's released? Then pull the housing off? Sorry for sounding stupid with all these questions , just that i never worked on benz before.

Oh ya , and when you mean cover do you mean the whole mirror cover or just the lens cover? Because the lens cover is screwed onto the mirror housing so that would be impossible to slide off
