Coolant leak problem found? Maybe
I have a 420 SEL w126 chasis with a coolant leaking problem.
I finally think I found where my coolant is leaking from. It seems a hose was cracked. I looked down and I could see the coolant spitting around. I took off the hose, and notice it was cracked. Can anyone tell me what hose this is? I'm assuming it is a coolant return or supply hose. If i trace it, it seems to go from the engine block to the heater core at the fire wall. There are what seems to be 3 hoses here. Any idea which one i'm looking to replace? And what part #? |

da - it is a heater hose BUT without seeing a pic of it this type of question is a hard one to answer. That is the reason you aren't getting much of a response. Can you post a pic of it. You can get ahold of Phil at Partsshop.com and get him to fax you a picture of the hoses in this area and try to identify it from that.

Ok I found out which hose it is.
It's this one: http://catalog.eautopartscatalog.com/mercedesshop/wizard.jsp?partner=mercedesshop&year=1990&make=MB&model=420-SEL-001&category=All&part=Heater+Hose&appDescription=Between+return+line+and+engine I can't replace this myself...any idea how many hours a shop will charge me to replace this hose? |
